Hardtop purchased/obtained
Well you would not believe where I discovered this bargain of a Hardtop and when I say bargain I'm not joking. It only cost me a 2 figure sum including a £10 delivery cost albeit in the wrong colour of a dark green. Something that is now on the todo list is to either spray it Brilliant Black or Carbon wrap it. The only issue was it did not come with the small cable that powers the rear heated screen. Solved that by paying £12 for one on 'the auction site' which didn't work at first as not all the 3 wires were connected. Cure was to change the window spade connectors, it was clearly a soft top wire!, then reconnected the loop back wire that was hanging loose. Result being it all works fine now. Having this Hardtop will allow me to remove the non standard cheap soft top to get a heated rear window proper hood for the car. Will post a picture when it is the desired colour or in a carbon finish.
